FC 27 Amps and Masteries Guide: How to Use Them and Earn AXP Fast

Amps and Archetype progression give FC 27 Clubs players more ways to customize their Virtual Pro. Instead of permanently committing to one build, you can use temporary Amps, adjust your Attribute allocation, and earn Archetype XP (AXP) through regular gameplay.

Understanding when to use an Amp and where to invest your progression can make your build much more effective.

How Amps Work in FC 27

Amps are temporary items that enhance your active Archetype for a limited number of matches. Depending on the Amp, you can receive Attribute boosts, PlayStyles, Perks, or an Archetype Affinity bonus. There are four Amp Tiers, with Tier 3 and Tier 4 being Signature Amps.

You can equip:

One Signature Amp
Two Standard Amps

To equip one, open the Archetypes menu, go to the Amps tab, select an available slot, and check the item's effects and remaining uses before confirming it.

The best time to use an Amp is when its bonuses actually match the role you are playing. There is little reason to waste a limited-use Amp on casual matches where its main Attribute boost does not benefit your build.

Also remember that Amps do not work in every activity. For example, they do not apply in Kickabouts, and playing a Kickabout does not consume the Amp's remaining uses.

Choosing Your Masteries

Your Archetype progression should match your position and how you normally play. Rather than putting points into every available Attribute, focus on the areas that directly support your role.

For example:

ST: Finishing, attacking attributes, and physical strengths
CAM: Passing, ball control, and attacking creativity
CM/CDM: Passing, defensive ability, stamina, and ball retention
CB: Defending, strength, and physical attributes
Winger: Pace, dribbling, and crossing
GK: Goalkeeping attributes that fit your preferred style

The important thing is to build around your actual role. A high-rated Attribute is not automatically useful if you rarely use it during matches.

Attribute Resets Are More Flexible

One of the most useful changes is that you can adjust your Attribute allocation without needing a reset item. EA explains that you can reduce individual Attributes incrementally and move those points into areas you want to improve. This makes experimenting with different builds much easier.

In other words, you do not need to be afraid of testing a different setup. If your build feels too slow, weak, or ineffective in your position, you can reallocate points instead of starting over.

This is also a good reason not to spend FC 27 Coins chasing small improvements before you understand what your Archetype actually needs.

How to Earn AXP Efficiently

AXP is the main way to progress your Archetypes. You can earn it by playing games and completing Objectives in The Grounds. Some rewards and consumables can also provide AXP or increase the amount you earn.

A simple approach is to combine your normal matches with available Objectives:

Check the current Objectives in The Grounds.
Look for objectives that can be completed during matches you already plan to play.
Use AXP Consumables when you have a suitable run of matches.
Focus on the Archetype you actually use instead of spreading progression too widely.

EA also confirms that Objectives can provide AXP Consumables and other Grounds rewards, while AXP boosts can increase the amount earned from matches.

Should You Spend Coins on Amps?

Amps can be available through Stores using Coins or Points, as well as Objectives, Live Game Modes, and Featured Bundles. Store availability can change, so always check the item's details before purchasing.

If you are trying to manage your resources carefully, do not buy every Amp you see. Look at its Attribute boosts, duration, Affinity, and whether it actually fits your current Archetype.

The same applies if you are considering EA FC 27 Coins for other parts of your Clubs progression. A well-planned build is usually more valuable than constantly changing equipment without a clear purpose

Amps are best treated as temporary tools rather than permanent upgrades. Save stronger Signature Amps for matches where their bonuses can make a noticeable difference, and use Standard Amps when you want to test a specific improvement.

For progression, prioritize AXP from matches and Objectives, then adjust your Attributes as you learn more about your build. Since Attribute allocation can be changed without a reset item, FC 27 gives you much more freedom to experiment.

The best setup is ultimately the one that fits your position, your teammates, and the way you actually play.
